Authorities in Da Nang have reopened public beaches and allowed local eateries to offer dine-in services as COVID-19 social distancing rules are further eased in the city.
From 0:00 on Friday, all diners, restaurants, and cafés have been permitted to serve customers at their venues.
All employees at these facilities are required to wear face masks and gloves as well as keep a safe distance from customers.
Seats must be placed one meter apart from each other, while tables and chairs have to be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
Eateries must also prepare sufficient soap and hand sanitizer for customers and staff members.
Local residents are now allowed to swim at local beaches.
Meanwhile, non-essential businesses and entertainment facilities such as beauty salons, massage parlors, karaoke shops, bars, discos, cinemas, gyms, and sports centers must remain shuttered.
The municipal People’s Committee still advises citizens to only go outside when necessary and requires them to always wear face masks and keep a one-meter distance from others in public.
Gatherings of more than 30 people in public and outside of offices, schools, and hospitals are prohibited.
Festivals, ceremonies, religious activities, sports competitions, and similar events are still banned.
Local authorities continue to require residents to only visit the market once every three days.
Restrictions started to be eased in Da Nang at 0:00 on September 5, but local eateries were only allowed to offer takeaway services, and public beaches were still closed.
It has been 14 days since the central city last recorded a locally-transmitted COVID-19 case.
